Harry Maguire remains confident in his importance to Manchester United's future and is determined to win silverware in the 2024/25 season.

After a challenging 2023-24 season marred by injuries that limited him to just 22 Premier League appearances, Maguire showed signs of regaining form towards the end of the campaign. With renewed focus, he is eager to build on this progress in the upcoming season.

Maguire's Statement In an interview with Sky Sports, Maguire stressed that the club has reassured him of his role and dismissed any speculation about his departure. "Unless the club tells me I'm up for sale or that I'm no longer wanted," Maguire said. "From everything I’ve heard and the actions shown by the club, I’m part of the future. It's time to get on with it and make the club successful again, challenging for major trophies."

Maguire's season was disrupted by a muscle injury that caused him to miss key matches, including the FA Cup final and a spot in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2024. Reflecting on this period, Maguire described it as one of the toughest of his career. "It was a really tough time in my career—probably the toughest moment I’ve faced so far," he admitted.

Looking Ahead "Getting myself into a position where I’ve worked hard all year to play in big games, cup finals, and then to go to the Euros and try to win for my country, I felt physically and mentally ready to perform at the highest level. Facing a setback with injury was really challenging," he added.

Currently in the United States for pre-season, Maguire is set to demonstrate his abilities to manager Erik ten Hag. With Manchester United scheduled to play against Arsenal on Saturday at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Maguire aims to make a strong impression as he seeks to contribute significantly to the club’s quest for major trophies.
